Ocean eyes is a book, I created based on a song. For example for this project I used the song “Ocean Eyes” from artist Billie Eilish. However I wanted to make it more realistic so I changed the authors name to “James Sharp”. Having the original artist name distracts the viewer from the overall design. The color scheme I used were mostly blues, to represent waves in the ocean.
The main focal point of the design was the eye. To achieve that I made sure to add dimension by adding dark shadows around the eye. As well as adding highlight in the pupil and including glitter towards the front of the eye. I really wanted to draw in the viewer to wanting to pick the book up if it was on a book shelf.
